The school was established in the year 1975. It started with 34 students with one division per std. and has now grown to the strength of 1008 students with three divisions for each std.

We have various clubs for the Students like:

1. Dolphin Nature Club:- To create awareness about environment every year more than 100 students participate, visits are arranged to BNHS (Goregaon), Maharashtra Nature Park, Yusuf Meherally Centre (Panvel) etc.Members work on different themes like medicinall plants ,rain water harvesting, Reuse,Recycle, Reduce etc. Festivals are celebrated in an environmentally safe way - Nag Panchami, GaneshChaturthi, Dussera, Diwali etc., experts are invited to give lectures/talks on various topics on nature.Students also prepare vermicompost.
2. Spectrum Science Club: -To cultivate scientific attitude, following activities are conducted.
   Visits: Nehru Science Centre,Keshav Srishti etc.
   Projects: Medicinal plants , snakes show.
   Quiz competitions and lectures.
   Important days celebrated i.e Water Conservation Day, Animal day etc.
   Poster Making: Celebrations of festivals like Nag Panchami, Holi etc. and creating awareness about misconceptions , pollution and use of poisonous chemicals.
3. Interact Club: The Interact Club has students from std VII and VIII as members.This club is the student wing of the Rotary Club of Andheri (East).Personality Development and activities about environment are held every year. Speakers are invited to conduct the Career Guidance and Counselling workshop. This workshop is conducted for the students and parents of Std IX and X. A beach cleaning activity is conducted after the last day of Ganapati immersion.
4. English Literature Club (For std VI and VIII): Book Club for the sixth grade students enables the students to form their own opinions about a book and give their impressions regarding the same -- Books are distributed and later discussed.Debate club for VII std. students to enable.
5. Consumer Club: To create an awareness about the consumer's rights Mumbai Grahak Panchayat started Consumers' Club in our school in the year 2004 .This is the seventh consecutive year of this activity and approximately 60 students of std. VIII are members of this club.Mrs Dongare member of M G P conducts various lectures every year.Till date she has enlightened the students on the following topics : Consumer Movement, their rights and duties ,fake advertisements , improper weights and measures, pollution , healthy diet , conservation of the environment etc. Various competitions are held and prizes are given to the students as a token of appreciation.Field visits are arranged for the members of the Consumer Club.
