Aspiring to touch the horizon of perfection in the field of education, Vile Parle Mahila Sangh decided to begin ‘ORION SCHOOL’, following the syllabus of the ‘Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination’. Considering the conventional and modern theories of education and adding our own experiences of more than five decades we have devised unique techniques of instructions that makes learning a joyful experience.

The results of the Grade X ICSE board examination conducted in March 2017 were declared on Monday, 29th May 2017 and it was the third year in succession where Orionites got 100% results.
This year a total number of 60 students appeared for the ICSE board examination. 36 students scored above 90%, 18 above 80%. Mast. Chinmay Parab who scored 97.2% topped the school followed closely by Mast. Pranav Pradhan who scored 96.8%.
Vile Parle Premier League (VPPL) is a Football tournament that took place at Dubhashi playground for over Six years.
VPPL team feel the need of promoting grassroot football. Hence team started Sporco Football Acadamy at Prabhodhankar Thackarey sports complex. The purpose of it is to train boys football at early age and to promote them. Orion student Kartik Darekar, Manas Mayekar, Shubham Nirgudkar and Aditya Surve joined Sporco Football Acadamy to enhance their Football skills.
Mumbai FC coaches visited Sporco Football Acadamy couple of times and selected few Sporco member for further training as Mumbai FC is also running a grassroot promotion program. Orion boys listed above were part of selection and now having practice sessions trice a week at Andheri Sports Compplex. Shubham and Kartik played WIFA under 14 tournament for Mumbai Fc in April 2017 at Cooperage ground.

Vile Parle Mahila Sangh established the first ICSE school in Vile Parle (East) in 2007 with the motto of ‘A Leap towards a bright future’ and its vision being to ‘Always be ahead on the path of progress’.
The results of the Grade X ICSE board examination conducted in March 2016 were declared on Friday, 6th May 2016 and it was the second year in succession where Orionites not only got 100% results but the number of students scoring 90% and above was higher than last year.
This year a total number of 33 students appeared for the ICSE board examination. 13 students scored above 95%, 16 above 90%, 3 students above 85% and 1 above 82%. Mast. Sarvesh Navare who scored 98.2% topped the school followed closely by Miss. Rucha Kulkarni who scored 98%.
The performance of the students subject wise was also very impressive. Miss Udita Kushe scored 96/100 in English. The marks obtained by our students in the second language too were very creditable. Mast. Amey Parkhe scored 98/100 in Hindi and Miss Rucha Kulkarni scored 99/100 in Marathi. Mast. Sarvesh Navare scored 99/100 in Marathi and 100/100 in Social Studies.
Mast. Aryan Paradkar scored 100/100 in Mathematics. Miss Meghavi Jariwala scored 97/100 in Science. Mast. Eshan Patel, Miss Ishita Sawant scored 90/100 in EVS while Miss Esha Patel scored 90/100 in EVS and 95/100 in Economics.
Even in electives we had many achievers who scored full marks and they are – Miss Rucha Kulkarni, Miss Shriya Sansare, Mast. Nimish More, Mast. Yash Hate, Mast. Amey Parkhe and Mast. Vivek Vinze scored 100/100 in Physical Education while Mast. Sarvesh Navare and Miss Arya Patki scored 100/100 in Computer Applications.
The fantastic feat performed by the students was possible due to the continuous guidance, encouragement given by the Principal Mrs. Sushma Phatak, administrator Mrs. Krishna Deshmukh, Staff of ORION, members of the Managing Committee of Vile Parle Mahila Sangh and last but not the least the Parents.
The continuous cooperation, support and facilities provided by the members of the Managing Committee of Vile Parle Mahila Sangh boosted the confidence level of the students thereby enabling them to perform well and reach great heights.
In ‘ORION’ we are trying to build a broader holistic structure of education to break the rigidity of the stereo-type-learning ideas, but still maintain discipline. In our school, students and staff form a healthy community. Learning takes place within the framework of discipline, without fear or pressure, which extends beyond academics. Students are trained and encouraged to be independent thinkers and not the rote learners. Learning is fun here and freedom is offered to discover one’s own self. We wish to offer such an environment for the child, where home and school work hand-in-hand for child’s optimum development.
We, The staff of the ORION intend to provide ‘quality education’ in the learning environment which is happy and stimulating. We are keen on moulding young minds to meet the challenges of life. We introduce several teaching innovations which prompt children to think for themselves and appreciate different integrated subjects to learn more.
